A magnifying glass can be sometimes a real help, as it can help you see details which normally are too small to be seen by the untrained eye. But what if you could use a magnifier in the computer world? The Windows operating system features such a tool, which simulates a magnifying glass, allowing you to zoom in to any portion of your desktop. Unfortunately, this tool lacks a lot of features and it's very limited. A much better idea would be to install a 3rd party program for this. One such application is Magnifixer.

This simple Windows program can add a virtual magnifier on your desktop, which can be positioned anywhere on the screen. The application is not difficult to install and features an intuitive interface. After running the application, the magnifier will be immediately displayed on the screen. Using the context menu, accessible using the right click mouse button, the user will have access to all the program's functions and options.

Using this menu, one can customize the zoom level and can also choose the refresh rate. Choosing a lower refresh rate will help you see details which normally cannot be seen because of movement. Besides that, the program can also be configured to stay on top of other windows and also to have transparency applied to it. A very useful feature is the possibility to display RGB and HTML values for the color of the area where the mouse cursor is located.

Pros

It can place a simple magnifier on the screen. Besides that, it includes numerous settings, for customizing its functionality, for example, the user can set the zoom level and the update frequency. Furthermore, the RGB and HTML values of the color where the mouse cursor is located can be displayed in the interface.

Cons

The program doesn't have an actual options window, only a context menu. Magnifixer allows you to place a virtual magnifier on your desktop, allowing you to spot small details.
